Our laboratory is working at the crossroads of clinical research and basic tumor immunology. This is reflected by a multi-disciplinary team of medical doctors, biologists, biomedicals, biochemists, and bioinformaticians in our team. The clinical teams at the Department of Dermatology at the University of Tübingen and the Kantonsspital St. Gallen provide us with samples from unique patient cohorts while the scientific team advances research in the area of dermato-oncology. The University Hospital in Tübingen is the leading academic hospital in Baden-Württemberg whereas the Kantonsspital St. Gallen is the biggest hospital in Eastern Switzerland.

Our PhD, MD, MD-PhD and Master students are academically affiliated either with the University of Tübingen or the University of Zürich, both renowned institutions. This provides them with an excellent scientific environment and a strong foundation for careers in medicine and research and ensures that our students earn their degrees from top-tier universities in Germany and Switzerland.
